¹⁴ in order that ^(A)in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might ^[a]come to the Gentiles, so that we ^(B)would receive ^(C)the promise of the Spirit through faith.

The Promise by Faith

^15 (D)Brothers, ^(E)I speak ^[b]in human terms: ^(F)even though it is only a man’s ^[c]covenant, yet when it has been ratified, no one sets it aside or adds ^[d]conditions to it. ¹⁶ Now the promises were spoken ^(G)to Abraham and to his seed. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “And ^(H)to your seed,” that is, Christ.
